One of the most social things we do is a bonspiel.
A day of curling, eating, visiting, and, yes, even drinking...
what could be better?
Look below for a list of our annual bonspiels and click the links to find out more!
Due to the pandemic, we are unsure how or if we will be going ahead with any of our bonspiels this year. We want to ensure we can do it safely for all involved before we try. An email will be sent to members and posted on our homepage, with information prior to any event we may try with our plans for a safe but fun day. Until then, join us in our regular leagues!
*All bonspiel information subject to change until two weeks before each event*
December 15, 16, & 17, 2020
Celebrate Christmas by winning a turkey!
We know its a busy time of year, so new teams will be made each night. Sign up for 1, 2 or all 3 nights. You must curl at least two nights for a chance at the turkey.
Bras d'Or Lakes Stick Spiel
Stick curling is a skill.
All curlers can do it. Not all can do it well.
Plus, with two person teams,
there are no sweepers to blame!

A fundraiser to help the Kidston Island Beach Project,
this bonspiel is run by the Baddeck Lion's Club.
It is a great day full of camaraderie, auctions

Silver Dart Bonspiel
Celebrate 112 years of flight in Canada by throwing rocks at a house! This bonspiel previously was called the Commercial Spiel, and before that, I think it was the Men's spiel!
What will it be this year? Stay tuned to find out!

The Blarney Stone,
Ladies Invitational Bonspiel
Four ladies went curling for fun
And wished that they could have won one.
They came to Baddeck
Couldn't curl worth a heck
And settled instead for the rum!

Hal Norton Closing Bonspiel
Its a long seven months before curling will start again.
Might as well get as much in while we can!
A day filled of curling can do just the trick!
The plant will be turned off after the bonspiel until next year.
